Why was Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest's victory at Okolona, Mississippi, on Feb 22 1864, a bitter win? Forrest's brother Jeffrey was killed in battle.

I read that N.B.Forrest went wild and attacked the Union lines not knowing if anyone was following him or not. I wonder if that story is online? It would make interesting reading.
