SHAPE’s editorial page is open to anyone who would like to post a point or counterpoint, regardless if you agree with SHAPE’s position on history or the Confederate Battleflag. If you have an editorial you would like posted send it to me, George Purvis, at -email-. Here are a few guidelines. Let's try to work within these few guidelines and make this page a success.

1. It should be understood that all submissions are posted for the free use of anyone who may have a need or desire to use the submission, providing the user gives proper credit to the author and SHAPE. The authors and SHAPE retain the right to determine if the use of these submissions are in the proper forums and may request removal if use is considered improper.

2. Author should be willing to defend the points made in their editorial and should be willing to post point and counterpoint arguments in a civil manner. Your name should accompany the editorial and contact info should be provided to Mark Raines, President of SHAPE. If contact information is to be noted at the bottom of editorial, there will be no need to inform the President.

3. Depending on content, all submissions may not be posted. No racist submissions accepted no profanity or insulting ediotorials. No political editorials unless they are history related. Some editing may be required due to length.

4 Complete facts and/or quotes, when used, should be posted. Note all sources used. When online references are used links should be provided

5. These rules are subject to change depending on review of SHAPE members and approval of Shape President, Mark Raines.
