Folks I have received some requests that we use a larger font size for those who have problems seeing. Please use the size dialog box, the icon to the far right of the tool bar, to increase the size of your posting. This is a 15.

Thanks,

GP

If we have people with vision impairment, can they tell us what size they need to see easily? It makes no sense for everyone to post a different size. The folks with the problem can post smaller because those without the problem can see the post, but if they can't see your 15 (I think this will be a 20 when its posted - I hope), then we have to know what size they CAN see and we should all post accordingly or the forum could make that the "default size" (if that's possible).

Received this reply from Pat.

"I don't know of anything that will make the website do that besides changing the way it is displayed for everyone. However, on the user side you can hold down your CTRL button and push your + or - to make the font bigger and easier to read. Make sure you have your browser window (internet explorer or firefox) displayed when you do that.

But we need to know what SIZE to post or we're guessing and that's silly. Certainly the folks requesting the larger size should be able to give us the smallest size font that they can easily see and we should just all go from there. Otherwise, we might be posting a much larger font size than required.

(This is a 12)

I think the problem is the OP -- Vista. I know it seems to display in a smaller font size than other OP's. Not sure how to change the default in that system to make the type larger. I am told even these posts seem to be to small to read. I'll work on that issue when I have more free time.

However, for the time being, why not choose a font size and ask everyone to post in that size. It's not difficult. Even I can do it! (and that's saying something!) I will go to the little icon on the right and pick a size (maybe your 15) and post in that size. If the folks having problems are still having them, we'll have to think of something else. Right now, at least, we can do what we can to help.

Have a Happy Easter, my Western Christian friends.

We can post at a 15 but that does not appear to be the problem. I tried for an hour last night to resolve the issue using my computer, but could not figure out how to change the computer default.

George we have been down this road before as you recall. I think 15 is suitable for all.

Yes, but when I posted at 15 the last time - and THIS time - it is so much smaller than everybody else's 15. What's that all about?

I dunno. Our 10 size is confortable for me, yet it seems to show up smaller on some operating systems. I have no idea how to fix the situation so that it will be confortable across the board for everyone.

I wonder if it differs from brand name to brand name? I use a Dell with Windows XP. I had a HP which is about the same as a Dell and had no problems with the font size on it.

Just a quick FYI on the font size. Right now the forum section of the website font size is set at 12. This will look different on each persons screen due to screen resolution. I know that George had a low screen resolution 800x600 or 1024x768 last time that I worked on his computer and the font size seems big compared to mine which is set at 1440x900. The higher the resolution the smaller the text seems. I can increase the font size in the forums to say 15 if you would like to try it out. If you do not like it we can change it back to 12 with no problems.

Pat,

Go ahead and change the font size. I have been told this font looks tiny compared to other websites who use the same size. maybe a larger font will attract more readers. We will try it for a week or so and see how it works out.

BTW my computer seems to always display the same size font website to website. To me this is great.
