Has anyone researched this before and made the same connection?

The Confederate battle flag is based upon the national flag of Scotland. The national flag of Scotland is the cross of St. Andrew and the cross of St. Andrew is a symbol of the Christian faith and the heritage of the Celtic race... It was adopted consciously, purposefully, and deliberately...in order to display faith in the sovereign God of heaven and earth, faith in the providence of God, the God of history and the God of salvation."

Not too mention the huge influence of folks from Scotland who settled the South. I can see why this was an easy decision, it represented God Almighty first and the general population of the South at that time. Nothing against the Irish and other immigrants OK...LOL plenty of them too!

Very true but --- Do we have a source that verifies this statement?
