Of the 425 Confederate Generals, 77 were killed or died of wounds during the war ( 1 out of 5.5) The last surviving Lieutenant General of the Southern Army was Simon Bolivar Buckner, who lived unti 1914; his son and namesake was killed as a General Officer in World War II.

nathan bedford forrest 4 was a general. he was a pilot of a b-29, i believe. his plane ws shot down. he didnt make it out. he was the last nathan bedford forrest. he wasnt married.
