I do not know who compiled these photos into this slideshow or where the photos came from. I wish that person or persons would come forward and claim credit for the work.
There have been many stories written about slavery, some true, some not so true. A good many of these stories tell of the suffering of the slaves and the hard work they did, as if they were the only ones in history to have suffered. I offer in the video below some pictures that tell a different story. Granted these people are not slaves but their hardships and suffering is real. This is one story that has not been enhanced one bit.
