Having 'puter problems again, right nowon a cousins rig. This time it will not boot in any mode. Will be taking it to the shop soon, and I am guessing it will be at least a week before I get it back. If I am not online by April 1st, someone please start posting threads each day under the heading of Confederate History Month 2009.

Get a rebuilt Mac with Applecare. Can't go wrong. Can't get viruses. Much better machine.

I am back thank goodness. Just got the machine up and running. Will have some catching up to do. Tech does not know what the problem was all he knows is that he removed my hard drive inserted one of his and the machine took off. Recommends I back everything up will working that this weekend.

That will be my next 'puter.

George, your Norton Program can back all your files up while you are on line or while you sleep.

Not sure how that works. I need something in case the hard drive goes out, something separate from the 'puter. Got the most important things moved to CDs for now
